It’s a wrap!

Cast and crew pose for a group shot after the final take on Castaway in Broome

Haven’t had much time to post lately with working 12 hour days in the summer heat (40 degrees) and humidity of Broome, shooting publicity stills for the children’s television series, Castaway. But now looking forward to getting home to the cooler climes of Hobart and the family. This was taken last Wednesday, after the director called “It’s a wrap.” My 17 year old son who was along for work experience is on the extreme right of the shot still holding the clapper board he had been using a few minutes before. Homeward bound…

  1. an enviable job to shoot in Broome, Rob. I don’t mind the heat, but hate the flies, and love the Kimberley region of Western Australia. It is stunning up there and well worth a visit.

  2. I don’t mind the heat that much, Roel, but working twelve hours a day in 40 degrees gets a bit wearing. Luckily, I had the option of bailing out and editing pictures in the air-conditioned luxury of Captains by the Bay, every few days.

Now all I’m hoping for is that Westway Productions gets its next Broome project up and running so that I can spend more time in that wonderful part of the world.

I’ll post more Broome pictures over the next couple of weeks as I work my way through the photo backlog.
